Atom Energy Limited (ASX Code: AXY, Atom) [ACN 123 629 863] listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in mid 2007 with a package of uranium exploration properties in the Northern Territory. Atom has now, via its wholly owned subsidiary GPM Resources Pty Ltd (GPM), substantially completed the acquisition of an initial 70% interest in the Kalgoorlie North Gold Project located 45km north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. This project incorporates a current JORC Inferred gold resource of 366,000 oz from 8m tonnes at an average grade of 1.4 grams per tonne. The project contains 98 km2 of granted mining and prospecting leases covering 25km of strike over the well mineralized Bardoc Tectonic Zone extending north from Broad Arrow.
